Last night I went to a concert with Katie and Paige to meet up with a sixteen-year-old girl from the church and some of her friends. It really made me miss my Blacksburg youth group!! If any of you are reading this, I hope you're doing well and please e-mail me this summer and let me know how you're doing. :)
A few of the interns and I have been brainstorming ways we can organize youth events, even small low-key ones. Abbey Pres is a smaller, mostly-older congregation. They are all really happy we're here and I hope we can be refreshing/encouraging to them... it would be great to get some more youth involved though.
Mostly orientation stuff going on this week, which has been helpful. Planning for the summer music/arts events will begin soon! And we go on an "excursion" later this week too.
